I was a member on the old HearMe App, what should I do now? You will need to download the new app and create a brand-new account to get started. Please be aware that your chat history and profile information will not transfer over, however, all data is kept safe and confidential. The new application has increased stability, a cleaner look, and will have more capacity for expanding our features and capabilities over time. Who are HearMe Listeners? HearMe Listeners are a diverse group of trained peers and social work interns who want to be a source of support for another person. Listeners have access to a wealth of educational resources so that they have the skills needed to support you. If you are interested in becoming a HearMe Listener, please fill out this form.
What kinds of things can I talk about? HearMe is a judgment-free space to discuss whatever is on your mind. You can choose from topics such as health and wellness, work stress, LGBTQIA+ & identity, parenting, or just to talk.
Are there any age restrictions? You need to be 18+ to join HearMe at this time.
I am experiencing a crisis. Can HearMe help? HearMe is not a crisis resource. If you are having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or of hurting someone else, contact the crisis lifeline at 988 to speak to a trained counselor and be connected to resources. Learn more at 988lifeline.org.

I was a listener on the old app, how can I continue to be a listener on the new app? HearMe will be launching an expanded Active Listener training this Fall on our new learning management platform. Since we are starting a new chapter, completing this training will be required for all Listeners. If you are interested in growing with HearMe and would like to continue being a Listener on the new app, please complete this form and we will let you know when the training is live.
I'm experiencing technical difficulties with the app. Who can help me with this? To report tech issues, go to the settings cog in the bottom right corner, then select "Report an Issue". Once you've added details about the issue you're having, send your report by hitting "Submit". You may also contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, but through the app works best.
