Peer Support Specialist Certification

A first-of-its-kind, best-in-class online training course to develop Peer Support Specialists developed by the Academy of Peer Services, expert communicators, neuropsychologists, and researchers, and taught by HearMe’s Director of Peer Support.

Program Overview:

  • 8-week self-guided program
  • Pre-recorded trainings with asynchronous learning & quizzes
  • Weekly 30-min Zoom check-ins
  • Access to support from HearMe team
  • Topics include: Peer Values, Services, WRAP- Wellness Recovery Action Plan, Ethics, Sharing your Story, Advocacy, Self Care, Trauma-Informed, Boundaries, Motivational Interviewing Skills, and more

Volunteer as a HearMe Listener

Interested in becoming a HearMe Listener? Our listener community comprises volunteers, interns, and professionals.

HearMe seeks to train volunteer Listeners to provide one-on-one active listening support via real-time text-based chat to bring people together and make the world a kinder place. Volunteer Listeners would also gain access to the HearMe Community, free membership, and professional training and events.
